The idea for Financial Literacy for the Next Generation evolved over the years as our founder, Ken Frysztak, raised his three children and saw that there was no instruction on important life skills in the financial literacy area. Topics like investing, debt, budgeting, interest, savings, insurance, and taxes were not taught in school, and thus it became a parent's responsibility to help their children prepare for the real world.
This can be intimidating for some parents, in terms of both subject matter and time available. Thus, Ken combined his experiences in education, business, and parenting to create fun, engaging classes that lay the groundwork for students to become independent and successful with their personal finances as adults.
Prior to founding Financial Literacy for the Next Generation, Ken built three successful entrepreneurial businesses over 30+ years in the Education Industry, including Huntington, Language Stars, and Sylvan Learning Centers.
Ken has degrees in Accounting from Notre Dame and an MBA from Harvard. He leads a teaching team that is passionate about sharing its finance skills and experiences with Middle and High School students.
