Financial Literacy for the Next Generation offers programs at several Park Districts and Colleges in the Chicago area.

Libertyville Park District 

Financial Literacy for the Next Generation is offering 2 classes this Summer through Libertyville's Park District.

Student ages: 11 to 15 years old.

Programs run for one-week, from  Monday through Friday, for 3 hours per day.

Investing 101: Get ready for your future!

Middle and High School students love Shark Tank and learning about the stock market! Our Class introduces important concepts like how markets work, the importance of saving and investing early, diversification, and the language of Wall Street. We apply these skills using an online investment simulation game.. a hands-on fun activity that reinforce what they have learned. Your child will build positive money habits and become financially savvy... and begin their journey towards a financially independent future!

Middle and High School students are eager to learn all the things about money...perhaps the most relevant topic to their future (and one that is not taught in school!) Immerse your students in the world of savings, debt, budgets, credit, interest, investments and more. Our Classes use real- world scenarios and hands-on fun activities in order to light the fire for students to be financially literate, and set them up for a lifetime of financial success and independence!

Harper College InZone Summer Program

Financial Literacy for the Next Generation is offering 6 classes this Summer at Harper College's InZone Program in Palatine!

Student ages: 11 to 14 years old.

Programs run Monday through Friday for 1.5 hours per day, across a two-week timeframe.
 

Financial Literacy for the Next Generation

Students are eager to learn all things about money, a topic that is not taught in schools. Immerse your child in the world of savings, debt, budgets, interest, and investments. We use real-world scenarios and hands-on, fun activities, lighting the fire for students to be financially literate which will set them up for a lifetime of success and independence.

Investing Basics: Get Ready for your Future!

Students love to learn about investing and stocks. Learn concepts like saving vs. investing, diversification, and the language of Wall Street. Our online investment simulation game is a hands-on, fun activity that reinforces what students have learned. Your child will build positive money habits and financial savvy and begin their journey towards a financially independent future.

This class is offered two different times this summer at Harper:

So You Want to be an Entrepreneur?

Do you love "Shark Tank?" Entrepreneurship is more than starting a business, it is a mindset that is critical for high school, college and career. Learn by doing (and having fun) from a lifelong entrepreneur. You will research creative ideas, develop a business plan, and sell that concept to a panel of business experts.

This class is offered two different times this summer at Harper:

Crystal Lake, McHenry, Cary, LITH Park Districts

Financial Literacy for the Next Generation is offering 4 classes this Summer through Park Districts in Crystal Lake, McHenry, Cary and Lake in the Hills. These Park Districts coordinate on enrollments and the programs are located in Crystal Lake (June) and McHenry (August).

Programs run for one week, Monday through Friday, for 3 hours per day.

Financial Literacy for the Next Generation is offering 4 classes this Summer through the Woodstock Park Districts.

Student ages: 11 to 17 year olds

Program runs for one week, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 12:00.
